All Star Swim School

Swim School Danville

All-Star Swim School is the premier swim school Danville residents trust to teach proper swimming procedures and techniques, water safety, CPR and other skills to their children. At All-Star Swim School, located at 5800 Camino Tassajara in Danville, our philosophy is that every acquired swim skill is a stepping-stone to the next skill, until at last your child is the best swimmer he or she can be. We want Danville children to receive more than just swim lessons; we want them to be completely comfortable in the water, and to retain comprehensive knowledge of water safety. To us, safety in the water is of utmost importance. Because the first interaction with water could be with an All-Star Swim School instructor, we are extremely aware of the significance of a secure, positive environment conducive to development of a child’s swim skills, as well as children’s self-esteem. Overcoming fear of water can help a child tackle other difficult life challenges with ease and determination. Your child’s swim lesson experience will help build strong groundwork for their future education and life lessons. The process of building self-confidence and trust are important to children who are learning how to swim and how to love it.

About ownership:

All-Star was founded by Brian Oas, a previous competitive swimmer and long-time swim instructor. He created a non-intimidating swim program focused on safe swim techniques for children while they enjoy themselves in the water. Now owned and operated by Brian and his wife Jennifer, All Star Swim School offers a unique background in competitive swimming, childhood education, and aiding children with special needs.

Brian was born a fish! His spent his childhood in a pool and swam competitively throughout his teenage years. Brian realized his love for working with children while teaching swim lessons to neighborhood kids. He recognized there were several different approaches to teaching children to swim, float, refine their stroke techniques and control fear. In 1998, Brian opened his first swim school where he began to develop his own approach to swim instruction, teaching children not only how to swim, but how to love to swim. In 2006 Brian and his wife Jennifer opened the doors of All-Star where they designed their own swim facility and comprehensive swim program to meet the growing needs of parents and their children, ensuring they have a positive swim experience.

Early on Jennifer had the makings of a natural teacher. Her love of kids and teaching began at an early age. While in college she was employed as a nanny. Upon earning her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana, Jennifer moved to Danville to begin her career. She began working at The Growing Room at Neil Armstrong Elementary and continued there until she was hired by the San Ramon Valley School District at Golden View Elementary. Throughout this time, Jennifer worked with Brian to gain the necessary training and skills needed to teach swimming. Her love of teaching and working with children has been integral in helping children learn how to have a positive swim experience.
